Winter's favorite drink is now in a new, creative, and delicious form! Instead of adding the hot chocolate mix to the hot milk, it transforms it into a fluffy, creamy, rich whipped cream that is piped right on top of the hot milk. It's marvelous and whimsical and so tasty! Top Whipped Hot Chocolate with marshmallows for the full hot chocolate experience!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup hot chocolate mix
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream, very cold
- 1 cup milk
- chocolate sprinkles, optional, to taste, for garnish
- marshmallows, optional, to taste, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -In a large, cold metal bowl, add the hot chocolate mix, the powdered sugar, and the heavy cream and use a handheld electric mixer on high speed to beat until it forms a chocolate whipped cream with stiff peaks.
Step 2 -In a microwave-safe bowl, add the milk and microwave it until hot.
Step 3 -In two serving mugs, evenly add the hot milk.
Step 4 -In a piping bag or a resealable plastic bag with a snipped corner, add the chocolate whipped cream.
Step 5 -Pipe the chocolate whipped cream, in swirls, on top of the hot milk.
Step 6 -Serve garnished with the sprinkles and the marshmallows.
