Ingredients

  • 1 (3-5-loaf) package frozen bread dough
  • 1 pound deli honey ham or Virginia baked ham, sliced, cut into 1-inch strips
  • 1/2 pound hard salami, thinly sliced, cut into 1-inch strips
  • 1/3 pound pepperoni, thinly sliced, cut into 1-inch strips
  • 3/4 pound mozzarella, thinly sliced, cut into 1-inch strips
  • 3/4 pound provolone, thinly sliced, cut into 1-inch strips
  • 2 large green bell peppers, thinly sliced

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Line a sheet pan with foil, then coat the foil with olive oil.

Step 3 -Defrost the bread dough and keep it cool. Do not let the dough rise.

Step 4 -Roll out the dough into a rectangular or oval shape, about 20-24 inches long and 12-16 inches wide.

Step 5 -Lay the ham slices on the center of the dough, about 1 inch apart.

Step 6 -Starting with the empty spaces on the dough, add the salami slices evenly.

Step 7 -Add the pepperoni, the mozzarella, and the provolone, evenly and in that order, onto the dough.

Step 8 -Add the green pepper strips evenly to the dough.

Step 9 -Starting at one end, fold the sides of the dough together over the filling and pinch the sides together to seal.

Step 10 -Continue folding the sides until the filling is completely covered by the dough.

Step 11 -Place the stuffed dough, seam-side down, onto the prepared sheet pan.

Step 12 -Bake until the stromboli is golden-brown and bubbling, about 20-30 minutes.

Step 13 -Transfer the stromboli from the overn and allow it to cool for about 5 minutes.

Step 14 -Slice the stromboli into 1 1/2-inch slices.

Step 15 -Serve.
